Maya Man brings StarQuest to London this week. The V&A hosts the London premiere of her performance-lecture on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at noon in the Lecture Theatre at V&A South Kensington. The event is free, opens with a screening of the generative work at 11 am, and ends with a conversation between Man and curators Laura Herman and Micol Ap. It is part of the V&A's Digital Art Season: On Agency, which runs until December 3.

StarQuest is a generative software work of 111 AI-generated scenes drawn from American competitive dance and the reality show Dance Moms, made "solely using text-to-video and text-to-music models," according to bitforms. Custom software sequences the eight-second clips into a stream that "never unfolds the same way twice." The work debuted on Feral File in November 2025, and the performance-lecture has been staged at Gibney in New York, at L.A. Dance Project in Los Angeles and with Harvestworks and Roulette in Brooklyn. Man's site lists StarQuest as acquired by the Walker Art Center.

Her net art is moving too. Pure Information was acquired for $20,000 in the sales tied to WWW!, the ARTXCODE and Rhizome group exhibition celebrating the website as an artistic medium, which concluded in New York at the end of September with eight works placed so far for $153,094 in total.
