Your Money Is Melting: Harto Teases Inflation
Harto is building toward something called Inflation: 24 flower-titled works, a pixel banknote, and a teaser that ends on 100 YEARS · 100 DAYS.
Harto is building toward something called Inflation. On September 25 he posted a grid of 24 numbered works titled after flowers, from Fan Bloom and Dahlia to Moonflower and Spider Lily, captioned "Ready for Inflation." Yesterday came "gm Inflation assets," a single pixel banknote on white. Today's teaser cuts from a 1923 Stuttgart voucher, a breadline and a Zimbabwean 100 trillion note to pixel icons for cash, food, water, energy, gold, housing, art, stone and dead blooms. The final card reads "100 YEARS · 100 DAYS" and "MINT WITH EURC." No date yet. We're watching.
