Counterfeit Culture is a pioneering Art House and incubator on Bitcoin, widely regarded as one of the earliest and most influential forces in the Ordinals ecosystem. From its genesis inscriptions in early 2023 (starting around ~38,680), it has championed Art on Bitcoin—a rallying chant and movement they helped corner and popularize through relentless curation, drops, and community building, turning "Art on Bitcoin" into a defining mantra for the on-chain creative rebellion.

Led by Pryzm with assistance from Boozy, the project thrives on relentless work to onboard artists through thoughtful curation and support, solid vision, and unwavering dedication to pushing Art on Bitcoin forward—curating exceptional talent, preserving key cultural moments, and driving the ecosystem's artistic evolution inscription by inscription. It curates, launches, and preserves digital works inscribed immutably on Bitcoin's blockchain, capturing the artists, ideas, stories, and cultural moments of this evolving space—often framed as a "curated archive of art and culture, preserved on Bitcoin."

The flagship Counterfeit Cards series is a landmark recursive card collection on Ordinals—the first of its kind—serving as a visual timeline and trading-card archive of Bitcoin art culture. Each card immortalizes a pivotal moment, artist, or theme, etched permanently on the ledger.

Series 00 is themed "Hacking Bitcoin," featuring contributions from 22 artists who tell the story of Ordinals' explosive early year. It includes standout works from talents like HXXDIE BLVCK (Boozy's alter ego), an early Lemonhaze—marking a key moment in the journey of the artist, with Counterfeit serving as a great propulsor—and Bitcoin glitch legend Sir Gadfly, Solem, and many more.

Series 01 extends this legacy with an all-star lineup of 22 emerging artists, evolving narratives, and continued high-quality drops. It includes pieces from creators like 8th Project, Pawel Dudko, Burst, Melzie Q (Zoe Louise), OTO, Sabet, Michelle Thompson, Milla Si, and many others.

Ultimately, Counterfeit is more than a collection—it’s a commitment to the permanence of creative expression. By leveraging the immutable nature of Bitcoin, the project ensures that the voices and visions of today's digital pioneers are secured for generations to come, standing as a testament to the power of decentralized art and culture.
