The Only Seven-Trait CryptoPunk Changes Hands
CryptoPunk #8348, the only Punk with seven attributes, sold today for 3,000,000 USDC plus an undisclosed amount on GONDI, ending Seedphrase's six-year hold.
CryptoPunk #8348, the only Punk with seven attributes, sold today. The Male Punk wears Buck Teeth, Mole, Big Beard, Earring, Top Hat, Cigarette and Classic Shades, and the official CryptoPunks site lists no other Punk with that many traits.
GONDI, the NFT lending platform, announced that the Punk "sold for 3,000,000 USDC + undisclosed amount," calling it "the largest sale in GONDI history." The Punk had been collateral for a 2,800,000 USDC loan on GONDI, and the platform said the sale settled that loan as part of the deal.
The seller is Seedphrase, who bought #8348 in May 2020 for 85 ETH, about $18,000 at the time, according to Decrypt, which wrote that the Punk had "become synonymous with Seedphrase's online identity." After the sale he posted: "I received an offer after 6+ years that I couldn't refuse. More on this tomorrow."
